Kierin NYC Sunday Brunch
Way back when my husband and I had no kids and didn’t live 30 minutes away from everything, we used to take ourselves out to brunch at our favorite cafe on Sunday mornings. If you are familiar with the Boulder area in Colorado, the restaurant is Huckleberry, in Louisville. It’s in a bright purple building, right on Main Street in the down town. You can’t miss it, and it’s one of our favorite places to eat. The tea menu is our favorite part of the experience though. Pre kids, I was always a tea drinker and never coffee. Funny how things change! We both used to get Earl Grey tea when we went to Huckleberry; he would get the Earl Grey Supreme and I would get the Lady Grey. I grew up drinking Earl Grey tea with my mom too, so it has been a staple in my life for a long time. My afternoon caffeine hit, if I need one, is usually a cup of Earl Grey.
Kierin NYC Sunday Brunch is part of the discovery set I received from my husband for my birthday and the one I started wear first from the set. I was intrigued by the Earl Grey tea note listed and am happy to report that it’s incorporation into Sunday Brunch is delightful! It’s like I already have a scent memory associated with this fragrance, because I already like Earl Grey Tea so much! The addition of Italian bergamot, and lemon give this a triple dose of citrus that makes this incredibly pleasant to wear. The hint of jasmine adds some powdery floral that helps round out Sunday Brunch nicely
As I’ve been wearing Sunday Brunch and getting to know it a little better, I smell citrus, the lemon and bergamot first and then the Earl Grey in the dry down. Much like I do with a tea bag of Earl Grey, I keep burying my nose in my wrist and smelling this gorgeous tea and citrus scent. I think this is aptly named Sunday Brunch also; it’s the type of scent I would pick to wear out to a lazy morning brunch, should I ever get the chance to have one of those again. Brunch with kids is definitely not the same! It’s an unobtrusive, easy scent to wear that doesn’t have a huge amount of projection. You won’t be announcing to everyone that you’ve entered the building when you wear this, but when you hug your friend, they’ll tell you how good you smell!
I’d highly recommend checking out Kierin NYC and picking up a discovery set I’ve tested a couple of other fragrances from my set and I’ve enjoyed those also. Happy Sunday!
