In my small Sephora Holiday saving order I placed a couple of weeks ago, I was very restrained and only got one makeup item: the Kosas 10 Second Eyeshadow in Fahrenheit. I’ve had this Kosas eyeshadow in and out of my cart for several months now; the color is such a me color, a beautiful dark burgundy red. Kosas describes is as “a warm violet burgundy”. Any makeup that is red toned and warm has my name all over it and I’ve been very intrigued by the water aspect of this eyeshadow. I’ve also liked most of the Kosas products I’ve tried, and I was ready to try something else.

When this eyeshadow sits for a while, the red pigment separates from the rest of the liquid in the tube. You have to shake this quite vigorously before you use it to mix the pigment into the solution. Fahrenheit is a beautiful, light weight and saturated pigment for your eyes. I am actually surprised at how pigmented this eyeshadow is, given its light weight texture. This also has a very subtle shimmer to it. It looked matte when I first looked at it, but upon closer inspection in the sun, there are tiny flecks of violet shimmer running through this. It’s lovely!

It took some trial and error for me to figure out how to use this, but I think I’ve finally worked out how this best applies to my eyes. My advice to to start with way less shadow than you think you need, and then build it up as you go. I like putting one dot in the center of my mobile with the applicator and then blending with my finger. Then, I buff the edges out with a fluffy brush. Fahrenheit has looked the best on my eyes after I built up two light layers of pigment. You also have to work pretty fast with this eyeshadow, it dries super fast. I’ve also liked using this by putting some shadow on the back of my hand, and then dipping a brush into the shadow to put on my eyes. This method gives the sheerest application of the shadow and I will reiterate that you have to work quickly! The shadow dries on the back of your hand fast.

I’ve really enjoyed using this eyeshadow and I am happy to have finally bought it! Fahrenheit is also available directly from their website, and off of the Nordstrom website*.
