I purchased Lazy Sunday Morning as a treat to myself after a big promotion at my old job. I stood in Sephora, thinking I should be sensible and just get a roller ball. But, elated with my promotion, I ended up with a full size bottle. My olfactory memory with Lazy Sunday Morning will always be the month of April, when I got this promotion and how proud of myself I was. I used to working in accounting, and for someone who has a degree in Literature, Women’s Studies and Culinary Arts, excelling at accounting was not something I expected.
Lazy Sunday Morning is a lovely “skin scent”. It’s delicate, and hugs you close when you wear it. In my experience, almost every time I wear this, someone comments and says I smell good. This has notes of white musk, lily of the valley and iris. The musk in this is what gives it its skin like qualities. The iris also enhances the powderiness and gives Lazy Sunday Morning an almost creamy feeling. And I love the Lily of the Valley, that gives this a soft floral touch and a slight tinge of green. I didn’t realize how much I like Lily of the Valley until I was researching Lazy Sunday Morning for this post, and remembered one of my newer favorites, Mui Mui L’Eau Bleue has Lily of the Valley also.
Lazy Sunday Morning* was the only fragrance I could wear during the trimester of my pregnancy with my daughter. I was sicker than sick, feeling nauseous nearly every moment of the day and everything smelled horrible to me. So, the fact that I could wear this fragrance and not feel like I was going to hurl, is a testament to how easy this is to wear. Lazy Sunday Morning is a perfume I wear year round and one that never fails me. If I don’t know what fragrance to wear, or generally feel uninspired, Lazy Sunday Morning is what I reach for. An unfussy, and uncomplicated scent, I would recommend Lazy Sunday Morning to almost anyone, especially those who want an easy, every day scent to wear.
