Welcome to my website, I am glad you’ve stopped by! One of my favorite creative writing professors in college said that the most important thing about writing is to get to your desk every day and do it.  So, that’s what I aim to do!  I got my degree in Literature, and took several Creative Writing classes. I have always enjoyed writing, but had less and less time to do either as I got older and worked different jobs.

I am fascinated about how scent and memory can connect with each other.  The smell of garlic and onions, cooking in olive oil always makes me nostalgic and overwhelms me with memories of my mom cooking dinner growing up.  Wet, earthy grass never fails to remind me of soccer practice at my elementary school and scheming a way I could get out of attending practice.  The first perfume I ever wore was Estée Lauder White Linen when I was in high school.  I cut a coupon out of a magazine that I took to an Estée Lauder counter. I was delighted by my tiny bottle I received and I made that small vial last for as long as I could.  Scent has always been an important part of my life.

In the last several years, I have also found a new love of makeup and color.  I never wore makeup growing up, and did not for most of my 20s either.  When I started working a traditional 9 to 5 office job is when I started wearing makeup regularly.  My interest grew when I started subscribing to Birchbox and then discovered beauty videos on YouTube.  Now, I have quite the makeup collection that I adore using and adding to.  I am not a traditional artistic person in the sense that coloring inside the lines is an accomplishment for me.  But, I feel very creative when I do my makeup.  I love deciding how I want to present myself to the world and what colors I want to use to show that off.  Nothing makes me happier than putting on a bold and bright lip, or using my favorite teal eyeliner.
