three summer lipsticks that aren’t messing around

Putting on a bright cheerful lipstick will always boost my mood and get me out of a funk. I have gotten through some tough days wearing a bold lipstick. Here are three lipsticks I have been loving wearing this summer that induce joy!

Bobbi Brown Crushed lip color in Watermelon

If you want to walk into a room with an “I’m HERE” attitude, this is the lipstick for you!  I am never one to shy away from a bright and bold lipstick and this color is phenomenal! It’s a cheerful bright pink, very accurately named Watermelon. I find this more wearable because it has warm undertones; I think a lot of pink lipsticks are often cooler toned. My favorite way to wear this is very simple, neutral makeup all over the rest of my face, drawing all the attention to this fabulous lipstick. I want maximum impact when I wear this!   The formula of the Crushed Lip Color is one of my absolute favorites. It sits somewhere between a matte and satin lipstick; it has the staying power of a matte but the comfort of a satin lipstick.

Gucci Agatha Orange, Satin Formula:

I have been lusting after a Gucci lipsticks for several months and I finally got my hands on one earlier this Spring. It does not disappoint. It is everything you’d want a luxury lipstick to be: heavy, weighted gold case, with an intricate design on the outside. It feels fancy just to hold this, but even better to put it on! Agatha Orange is the most orange lipstick I own. It is even more orange than Mac’s Lady Danger, and more orange than my other favorite, Lisa Eldridge Velvet Morning. The formula is so comfortable to wear and fades nicely throughout the day to a lovely orange “popsicle” stained effect. I’ve been eating my body weight in popsicles this summer, so I’m the expert on popsicle stained mouths.

L’Oreal Color Riche Shine, Luminous Coral

This lipstick is the most sheer of the three, but is still an excellent option for a summer bright color. This is a punched up lip balm, shiny and moisturizing but with vivid pigment. Luminous Coral is a pink lipstick, with a hint of nectarine orange in it. This is my go to lipstick on tired days or days where I want my lipstick to be a bit more effortless. These L’Oreal lipsticks are another one of my favorite lipstick formulas. If I had the space, I would buy every color in this range! This, like Gucci, fades really nicely too.

Do let me know if you check any of these colors out or own them yourself! I’ve gotten such joy out of wearing them this summer. Cheers!
