Rogue Perfumery: Jasmin Antique
The dog days of August flew right by, the hot dry and long days before we got some relief in this month. I have never much minded August, and always feel a sense of mourning during this month as my favorite season is quickly coming to an end. A fragrance I enjoyed wearing most of this summer is the newest launch from Rogue Perfumery, Jasmin Antique. I first discovered Rogue Perfumery last year when I purchased Chypre-Siam and I have since enjoyed all of the fragrances I have smelled from them!
Jasmin Antique is soft, powdery and very wearable. It’s perfect for the summer heat where you want a fragrance to embrace you, rather than whack you over the head with it. My favorite time to wear this is in the evening, after my skin has warmed it for an hour and it has settled into a faint floral, swirled with vanilla, clove and musk. I have found this very comforting to wear during one of the strangest summers of my life, where I am grasping onto anything that will provide me with some sense of normalcy.
During a time where I think we are all longing for more physical connection and human interaction, this is a perfect fragrance to wear. Wearing this feels like a warm hug from a friend you haven’t seen in ages. I find the vanilla in this especially comforting and it sticks around the longest on my skin. Hours later, I still get that warm cozy scent wafting off my wrists. Do yourself a favor and check out this lovely floral scent!
